    Thank you for applying to be part of the Madison Street Festival (MSF) in downtown Madison, AL on Saturday, October 4, 2025

    Reservation of Rights: The MSF reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual or organization. Applying to the festival does not ensure a party will be selected for participation. Participation in the Festival will be at the sole discretion of the MSF. The vendor accepts and agrees to this reservation of rights.

    Application Acceptance and Approval.

    Participant registrations will only be accepted during the “Online Registration” period as described on the MSF website. Upon receipt of a COMPLETED registration, vendors will be notified of approval to participate in the festival. This notification will be by email. A Participation Agreement, Waiver, Indemnification, and Release of Liability document will follow, also by email. This document will need to be SIGNED electronically and returned by the date specified. Upon receipt of the agreement/waiver, your spot in the festival will be considered COMPLETE.

    Submitting a registration for the festival parade does not ensure participation. Participation in the parade will be at the sole discretion of the MSF and in accordance with the “Reservation of Rights” of this registration.

    PARADE RULES AND REGULATIONS:

    1. All entries are required to maintain a continuous forward motion during the parade.

    2. Adults must supervise children on floats.

    3. Equestrian Teams must have parade experience. Riders must have control of their horses at all times. Unsafe animals will be removed.

    4. Floats can be decorated to celebrate our return. Music and dancing are encouraged. Please remember this is a family event.

    5. Drivers must not consume alcoholic beverages on the day of the parade before or during the parade.

    6. Drivers must obey all traffic laws, and MPD (Madison Police Department) who will be assisting with the parade.

    7. All vehicles and trailers used in the parade must be in good working order.

    8. Anyone speeding through the staging area or using foul or abusive language will be asked to leave the parade site.

    9. All trash must be removed from the staging site before stepping off, trash cans will be available.

    10. No alcoholic beverages, smoking, vaping, or open flames are permitted in the staging areas or on the parade route.

    11. No advertising of drugs, alcohol, tobacco products, or illegal activities is permitted.

    12. All parade floats are encouraged to have a functional portable fire extinguisher.

    13. Any vehicles acting or driving unsafely will be removed from the parade.

    14. No group is to exit the parade before they reach Madison Elementary.

    15. Insurance: Entries must provide a copy of current liability insurance for all vehicles in the Madison Street Festival Parade. All vehicle drivers must have a valid driver’s license to participate. ONLY participants that submit proof of insurance along with a copy of the driver’s valid driver’s license by close of business on the Thursday before the Madison Street Festival will be allowed to participate in the parade.

    16. Parade participant will receive a Participation Agreement that must be signed and returned for their registration to be complete.

    17. Parade participant will receive information concerning their parade position and arrival instructions during the second half of September.
