Our Mission

Madison Street Festival “MSF” a 501c3 organization will motivate and support students of all ages and abilities by providing access to education and educational programs. This will be accomplished by providing but not limited to:

1. Grants awarded to educational programs.
2. Supporting community literacy programs.

Join the Madison Street Festival and Madison City Schools as we kick off our 3rd annual Stuff the Bus campaign! Help us collect much-needed supplies that directly support students, teachers, and school programs throughout Madison City Schools.

Festival Collection

Fill a reusable shopping bag with supplies and bring it to the Madison Street Festival on October 3, 2026. Drop off donations on the school bus at the corner of Front Street and Sullivan Street. Then reuse your bag as you explore everything the festival has to offer!

What should I expect at the festival?

Many fun areas including arts and crafts, exhibits, demonstrations, entertainment, a variety of food vendors, a community parade, information vendors, a sponsor row, and a children’s and teen area with lots of activities. Come spend the day with us on the first Saturday in October from 9:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m.

When is this year’s festival?

The  Madison Street Festival (MSF) is always held on the “1st Saturday in October from 9am – 4pm” in historic downtown Madison, AL. The MSF is a RAIN OR SHINE event.

Will the train be active during the festival?

Yes. The Norfolk Southern Railway, which runs through downtown Madison, will be in full operation on the day of the festival. However, the Madison Police Department will be on-site to make sure the train tracks remain clear, and to ensure everyone’s safety. MSF guests are reminded that walking on or near the train tracks is extremely dangerous, and a trespassing violation. Violators will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

NOTE: Any climbing through a stopped train will delay the restarting of the train. Please refrain from this activity.

Will Wi-Fi be available?

Yes. To access the free Wi-Fi in downtown Madison, look for “Madison-FreeWiFi” on your wireless device’s network menu and add it. No password is required.

Are pets allowed at the festival?

Absolutely! Pets are allowed and welcomed. Please note, leash laws are enforced in the City of Madison.

Will I need to bring cash?

Yes. Many of vendors, such as the food trucks, will charge a fee for their products, but an ATM will also be available.
