The Madison Street Festival is more than great food, shopping, and entertainment—it’s an opportunity to connect with our community. Throughout the festival, you’ll find several special experiences that celebrate service, history, education, and giving back.
Elbert Balch Memorial Blood Drive
Visit the LifeSouth Community Blood Centers bloodmobile beside the railroad tracks on Church Street and help save lives by donating blood in honor of longtime Madison Street Festival supporter Elbert Balch. Since its inaugural year, the Elbert Balch Memorial Blood Drive has made a meaningful impact thanks to the generosity of our community. If you’re able, consider taking a little extra time during your festival visit to make a lifesaving donation.
Veterans Park
Stop by Veterans Park at the corner of Church Street and Front Street, where members of American Legion Post 229 will be available to share the history of Veterans Park and its Medal of Honor recipient displays. Take a moment to honor those who have served and learn more about this meaningful community landmark.
Madison Station Quilt Guild & Historic Roundhouse
Located in the Roundhouse next to Veterans Park, the Madison Station Quilt Guild showcases the artistry and craftsmanship of local quilters. Watch members demonstrate their quilting techniques, admire beautiful handmade quilts, and learn more about the guild. While you’re there, explore the upstairs of the historic Roundhouse and discover local history through exhibits provided by the Madison Historical Society.
Huntsville Hospital Mobile Unit
Families with young children are invited to take advantage of the Huntsville Hospital Mobile Unit, conveniently located on Church Street. This quiet, comfortable space provides a welcoming place for nursing mothers, feeding little ones, or simply taking a break from the excitement of the festival.
Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive
Help us make a difference for Madison City Schools by participating in our annual Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive. Bring donations of essential hygiene items, classroom supplies, and individually packaged snacks to help support local students, teachers, and school programs throughout the year.
Look for the school bus at the corner of Front Street and Sullivan Street to drop off your donations, then reuse your shopping bag as you explore the festival! If you’re unable to attend, follow our social media pages closer to the festival for additional community drop-off locations.
